Getting Started

There are a number of things we need to do when you become a new client. Remember, you are trusting us not only to take care of your little buddy, but also to come and go from your home. Here's how it works:

  • Call or email (email is better so we both have a record) us with a request, including the dates you will be away, number of cats and location. We’ll confirm availability.
     

  • We’ll make arrangements to meet you and your kitty so you can ask questions and discuss any special needs. This can be an in-person or online meeting. You can fill out forms and hand off keys at this point, or do that later.
     

  • Fill out a Pet Profile for each cat. This will include basic information as well as food and care instructions, medical care, their habits and preferences. You can provide as much or as little information as you need. 
     

  • Fill out a Client Profile. This contains your name, address, contact information, preferences about receiving updates while you are away, key management, etc. 
     

  • Fill out a veterinary consent form outlining how you would like us to deal with medical emergencies while you are away. 
     

  • Sign an agreement accepting terms and conditions.
     

  • Once we have the formalities taken care of and have the key, we’re ready for the first visit.
     

For visits following the first one it’s much simpler. We’ll update any profile information that has changed (especially your cat’s medical information). We’ll send you a brief update to confirm that includes the new dates you will be away, and the number and type of visits you want. If we do not need to pick up new keys, we’re all set.
